For we in the Napa Valley, our grape harvest typically signifies the beginning of Fall. But even as the much beloved smell of fermenting wine fills the Valley, we are still feeling the heat as the grapes are coming into the winery.
Knowing you might also be feeling the heat in your neck of the woods and since the Fall equinox is still a few weeks away, we thought this would be the perfect time to share with you a few of our favorite salad dressings to help finish off the summer.
We are also very excited to include two delicious recipes from fellow foodie bloggers - Spoonful Of Flavor & Hip Foodie Mom - they really helped round-out our favorite selections. Let's toast to the waning days of Summer with these "To Die For" Salad Dressings paired with your garden bounty.
5 of our favorite salad dressings to finish off summer
Is there anyone who doesn't love basil? Use this dressing on a number of salads, including the classic caprese with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, or simply drizzled over grilled chicken.
This dressing adds a savory quality and depth to your meal. With pancetta, ketchup, and Chili Infused Olive Oil, this isn't your normal vinaigrette!
With Caesar dressing you typically think of that creamy, anchovy dressing that is pure perfection when topped with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese. In Chef Jamie's version, instead of mayonnaise we're using our olive oils for a vinaigrette that is reminiscent of the classic.

Spoonful of Flavor's Pomegranate Vinaigrette
This innovative recipe was shared with us by Spoonful of Flavor, a blog with easy yet impressive recipes and travel destinations that the entire family will love. Ashley visited us back in September of 2014 and we're so glad that she did! We particularly love her Grilled Chicken Salad with Blue Cheese, Candied Pecans and Pomegranate Vinaigrette recipe. The pomegranate vinaigrette sounds delightful with pomegranate juice, honey, vinegar, mustard, and olive oil. (Photo Credit: Spoonful of Flavor)
Hip Foodie Mom's Simple Vinaigrette
This fantastic recipe comes compliments from Hip Foodie Mom, a blog centered around fresh food recipes using local, seasonal ingredients. Alice came out to our property in May and we've followed her blog ever since! Her Baked Salmon Salad with Roasted Potatoes is just one favorite out of many - but we chose this recipe for the simple vinaigrette. (Photo Credit: Hip Foodie Mom)
